Objects of Şişhane studio aims to support and sustain the craft network and its visibility in Şişhane and neighbouring areas by creating a design collective with multiple actors including tutors, design students in the University, craft workshops, institutions and venues in Beyoğlu and beyond. During the course of the term, second year industrial design students worked as ‘apprentices’ in local craft workshops, and in parallel they develop their design projects. Products designed and produced for the spaces of Yapı Kredi Kültür Sanat, Beyoğlu Sineması and SUPA in Beyoğlu and Santral istanbul Energy Muesum were exhibited at these places, can be ordered and produced at the workshops in Şişhane and Galata area.
