Design education program for craftspeople (without prior design education) in İSMEK community, to provide them with novel perspectives they can apply to their thinking and making process. With the help of design input and mentorship, 12-week long course provided a setting where participants experimented and developed novel interpretations of traditional crafts. Program offered a different attitude on the accustomed relationship between designer and craftspeople; and design and craft as well. Here, the designer worked as a mentor and kept a more subdued position in order to bring craftspeople to the forefront of creative activity as the main actors of the designed products.
